Integrity is following moral standards and a code of ethics. Society is based on integrity. And an example of integrity would be that everyone should treat everyone else with respect. Respect is a major part of integrity as it creates a good society.

The dictionary definitions of integrity are; honesty, unimpaired, and complete. Though rigid adherence to moral codes is its primary meaning, it's most often used when referring to a whole or retaining a whole. This makes sense because we wouldn't be here without the whole of society. And of course, following the rules and being true to one's word is equally important.

Integrity is "a sound, unimpaired, or perfect condition"(dictionary.com). A good example of integrity is a classroom, or population. In a classroom or population things will not go smoothly unless people are kind, considerate, and respectful. Without integrity in large groups of people, or even small, it would be very hard to get along.

Integrity is " adherence to a code of values". Using the right judgment of either doing something and completing it. For example, telling the truth and using your own ideas. plagiarizing is a horrible idea and it's not telling the truth and not using your own words. Instead of lying, your better off to tell the truth. Instead of some other consequence in the future.

Integrity is "The quality or condition of being whole or undivided; completeness (Answers.com)." It is a quality, which is found in certain people based on their actions. These actions are generally how honest, consistent, and how much trust has been kept between the relationship. If integrity is not upheld in society, then society itself will crumble.

Integrity is the persistence of ones actions which is based on what the person believes is right. It is the concept of not giving up, but more importantly the thought of you doing your best. Integrity is an important quality, which will help you succeed at or atleast get close to any of the tasks that are placed before you. Integrity is an admirable and effective trait when it is used. Even if you do not succeed, those around you would notice you for your integrity.

Integrity is a very important and significant part of becoming and being a responsible person. It is adhering a code of values(The Merriam-Webster Dictionary, 1997)and also to moral and ethical principles, the soundness of moral character, and honesty(dictionary.com) Without personal integrity, a person does not express their own ideas, but instead displays dishonesty by taking someone else's for their own. Dishonesty is not respectful to yourself, or to anyone aquainted with them. In order to get along with people, it is vital to have respect, consideration, and values for the people with and around you.

The American Heritage Dictionary defines integrity as,"rigid adherance to a code of behavior; probity. To me integrity is being true to yourself, having respect for others aa well as having respect for others. It is the building block for our society, for without it people would be descrespectful towards others. Also it is priceless both rich and poor people have integrity.

Integrity is self respect. It is the way one portrays themselves. Our everyday lives at school are based upon integrity. An example of integrity could simply be when you hold a door open for someone or give a handicapped person your seat on the bus. If there is no integrity, there is no society.

Integrity is having not just having a code of morals to guide you, but making sure that you follow them. Integrety is not just having good moral standards, it means leading your life with them. An example of integrety is a person who believes in honesty, but also applies that to themselves.

Integrity is what divides humans. Integrity is not only the decision one makes when confronted with choice, but it is also the adherence to a moral code that is void of corruption and disloyalty. A person that displays or possesses character will often be motivated to choose what is best, rather than what is best for themselves. It is an abstract quality that has many synonyms and faces, yet it is undeniably a selfless trait that teeters between honesty and human decency.

Integrity is the "Quality characterized by honesty, reliability, and fairness"(Answers.com). Integrity is the base of any society. Kindess and respect keep things running smoothly in society. An example of this could be that in a classroom the teacher shows no respect for any of the students, so in return those students do not respect their teacher, and things begin to crumble in the classroom.
Without integrity, our society would simply fall apart.

Integrity is the ability to mold what you do to conform with a personal code of ethics that you believe is right. It is doing what you think is right even when facing ridicule. This includes ethics for your self; an example of this is not making a fool of your self and degrading your who you are just to get a quick laugh. Integrity is respect for your self and others.

According to Dictionary.com Integrity is defined as adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty. A person who posses integrity is a person who is honest and respectful to their fellow peers. An example of this would be if a student is in class and feses up to what he has done then he handled the situation with integrity because he was honest to the teacher. Integrity and or honesty is important to society because if no one in society was honest then no one could trust each other and societies need trust to prosper.

Integrity is self discipline. It is when you are disciplined enough to make the right choices, even though they might not be the easiest choices. It is being honest and admitting your own faults and mistakes. In the classroom, integrity means to have enough discipline to follow the classroom rules. And if you step out of line, if you have integrity you will admit your mistake and try to fix it, not deny your actions and try to avoid consequences. To have integrity, one must take responsibility for one’s actions and try to be honest, even when it is difficult.

Integrity has three different meanings. One is possession of firm principles: the quality of possessing and steadfastly adhering to high moral principles or professional standards. Second is completeness: the state of being complete or undivided (formal)
the territorial integrity of the nation. Third is wholeness: the state of being sound or undamaged (formal) public confidence in the integrity of the voting process (www.encarta.msn.com/dictionary). A good example of integrity is doing the right thing. If someone had accidentally left or lost something valuable somewhere, you find it. It is up to you to return the found item to the person. Because we would want the same thing to happen to us and someone else finds it and return it to us. The reason we return whatever valuable someone else’s lost or left somewhere is because it is the right thing to do.

Integrity is being true to your word. It’s as if you said to your coach that you did 10 wind sprints 50 pushups and 100 sit-ups. Doing every single one would preserve your integrity. Honesty and respect are the two main words that break it down. You must be honest in order to gain integrity or respect. A team with integrity basically exemplifies a well respected and self disciplined group of guys. Like a team the society also benefits from integrity, for if the society is filled with integrity it is well on its way to becoming a metropolis, but of course nothings perfect.

To have integrity is to have the ability to follow your own personal morals and sets of rules. Good politicians all have integrity so they are able to be trusted by their followers as well as lead a good example. Integrity is what keeps the world orderly and civilized.

Integrity is "The state or quality of being entire or complete; wholeness; entireness; unbroken state; Unimpaired, unadulterated, or genuine state; entire correspondence with an original condition; purity." (brainyquote.com)
My understanding of integrity is that it is sticking to your opinions and beliefs even though other people or factors disagree or go against your own. It is staying with your original values and not letting anything or anyone negatively affect them. An example of something with integrity would be a church. A church is something whole and complete. They maintain their beliefs. One is their belief in the bible. The bible teaches the values and rules that the church accepts and sticks to even though other churches or religions can challenge those beliefs.
